Facing an Andrew Jackson team which played for last season’s AA state championship, the Lugoff-Elgin girls learned a couple hard lessons in Thursday’s 59-33 setback. First, Von Duncan’s charges found out the Lady Volunteers are still a good team. Second, playing minus Jasmine Sexton, the Lady Demons will need to find some firepower to offset the loss of the sophomore guard who watched from the bench with her right leg encased in an ankle to hip brace and is out for the year.
