There is no telling how good Lugoff-Elgin’s tennis record would have been had it been able to get several of its matches to go into first doubles for the victory.Monday was yet another example of that as the Demons won at first and second singles, only to lose the next four in a 4-2 non-conference loss to Lancaster. L-E fell to 5-6 on the season with its fourth 4-2 setback of the spring.“Another tight one slipped past us as we struggle to find that all important third win,” said Demons’ head coach Edward Rickwood whose squad lost to the Bruins, 4-2, for the second time this season.“We were looking forward to this rematch. When we played them earlier this year, my number and number two won their matches, but three of the other matches were lost in third set tie-breaks.”Playing for the first time in 11 days after the spring break vacation, the Demons’ old reliable of Hunter Horton and Hunter Johnson won in straight sets at first and second singles, respectively.
