Maybe, they should just rename it the Leopard Duals.For the third time in as many years and fourth in the six-year history of the Carolina Duals, the Lugoff-Elgin Middle School wrestling team brought the championship trophy home from Rock Hill.On Saturday, Ted Monroe’s Leopards ran through five opponents --- including defending Carolina Invitational champion Dutchman Creek Middle School in the semifinals --- to claim the crown.L-EMS opened by pounding Chapin, 81-0, before defeating host Castle Heights Middle School, 51-30, and Irmo, 51-24, in rounds two and three. In the semifinals, the Leopards polished off Dutchman Creek, 62-12, before capping an unbeaten day with a 51-25 thrashing of Dutch Fork.“I thought our team wrestled very, very well,” Monroe said following the event. “I think that we have now established ourselves as the team to beat in a couple weeks at the Carolina Invitational.”Nine Leopards went through the day without a loss.
