Demon standout Horton signs to play tennis at Coker College
Coker
HUNTER HORTON IS FLANKED by his parents, Pam and Todd Horton, after the Lugoff-Elgin senior signed a National Letter of Intent to continue his academic and tennis-playing pursuits at Coker College. Pictured standing, from left, are L-E athletics director Matt Campbell, L-E boys' tennis head coach Edward Rickwood, Hunter Hortons friend, MacKenzie Wiseman, and L-E principal Worth Thomasson.
It seems as if every winning team has that one player who can help elevate it to the next level. Hunter Horton has been just that person for the Lugoff-Elgin tennis program. And after not having played for the Demons last spring, the senior will return to the fold for his final high school go ‘round in 2016.
