Mills changes course in signing with Emmanuel College
ANDREW MILLS SIGNED a National Letter of Intent to continue his academic and cross country and track pursuits at Emmanuel College. The Lugoff-Elgin senior was joined by his sister, Lindsay, and parents, Casey and Judy Mills. Standing, from left, are his younger brother, Matthew Mills, L-E High assistant principal Jeff Carraway, L-E wrestling head coach Peter Hemingway, L-E track and field coach Dave Thomas and L-E athletic director James Marlow.
Life can sometimes throw a curveball at you, even if you are a one-time baseball player-turned-distance runner. For as long as he can remember, Andrew Mills said that when it came time for him to choose a college, one school which he would not be attending was Emmanuel College. There was nothing wrong with the school located in Franklin Springs, Ga., other than the fact that Mills had seemingly spent part of his young life having grown up on the campus.
