Quick kicks his way to more post-season honors
GRAYSON QUICK HAS ESTABLISHED himself as being one of the top specialists in the country after just two seasons playing at Pikeville College in Kentucky.
For the second year in a row, Pikeville University specialist and former Lugoff-Elgin High School standout Grayson Quick has been named both first-team and honorable mention All-Mid-South Conference East Division.In a vote of coaches within the division, Quick was selected as the first-team place kicker and was named to the honorable mention list as a punter.Quick, a 5-foot-11, 175-pound sophomore, averaged 51.6 yards per kickoff and had five touchbacks this season. He was also 8-of-12 on field goal tries, hitting 2-of-4 from beyond 40 yards including a season-best 45-yard effort against Georgetown College. But what set Quick apart this season was his extra-point kicks.
