BLYTHEWOOD – After having made things interesting for a half, Lugoff-Elgin made too many mistakes against a high-powered Blythewood squad, losing 59-21 on Friday night at District 2 Stadium. The host Bengals (6-3, 2-2 in Region 4-AAA) led their guests (1-9, o-4 in 4-4A) by only a touchdown at the break before breaking open the game with four touchdowns in a five-minute span of the third quarter. Even with the score similar to the last three L-E games, there were more crucial points in this contest that separated the eventual winner.
