Mata's hat trick lifts Dogs to 3-2 OT win over L-E

Moises Mata completed a hat trick in the second overtime period to give Camden a 3-2 win over host Lugoff-Elgin in Monday’s regular season finale for the visitors.The Bulldogs split their two-match season series with their cross-river rival with the victory.Mata took a centering pass in front of the goal and blasted home the game-winner for his third goal of the night to send the guests home happy while closing the season on a positive note.“It was a great match, very well-played,” said CHS head coach Mark Chickering. “Luckily, Moises was able to finish them off with the goal in the second overtime period. “We controlled much of the play but were not able to finish on our scoring chances.
