Miller-led Demons second in four-team X-C meet

L-ES KYLE MILLER won the boys division in last Wednesdays meet at Historic Camden.
Kyle Miller beat Camden rival Clark Joseph to the finish line by five seconds to help lead Lugoff-Elgin to a second-place finish in Wednesday’s four-team cross country meet hosted by Camden High on the grounds of the Historic Camden Revolutionary War Park.Miller stopped the clock at 18 minutes for the 3.1-mile run as the Demons finished with 54 points. Fellow Region 4-4A colleague, Richland Northeast, won the event with 38 points followed by Camden with 67 and Westwood with 73 points.Joseph followed Miller to the finish line in a time of 18:05. L-E’s Andrew Mills was fifth in a time of 19:02 while two spots behind him was Camden’s Trey Buckelew, who was timed in 19:23.
