NCs Cunningham prepared to become an Army Man
NC standout commits to West Point
His right arm tucked in a sling due to a hand injury sustained in the opening minutes of North Central’s 48-12 loss to Cheraw on Oct. 6, Cedrick Cunningham was hardly ready to play in tonight’s game at Chesterfield. The Knights do-everything senior was more than healthy enough to give his pledge to a college on Monday night and, not just any college. After weighing all his options, the 5-foot-11, 190-pounder made a decision which will last more than just the course of his four years of school as he gave a verbal pledge to the United States Military Academy in West Point, N.Y. “Army has been there with me from the beginning of the recruiting process and they stayed consistent in recruiting me,” Cunningham said.
