A pair of Kershaw County wrestlers recorded top three finishes while another came home in fourth from last weekend’s South Carolina High School League state championships held at the Anderson Civic Center.Lugoff-Elgin senior Chris Jackson and North Central freshman Mason Gomez took third in the 4A and AA/A classifications, respectively. Camden senior Josh Thomas was fourth in AAA.Jackson opened his weekend with a 6-2 loss to Jake Strong of Fort Mill to drop into the consolation bracket in the 126-pound division. He then pinned Addison Christopher of Byrnes, 56 seconds into the second period before following that with an 8-6 decision victory over Sean Horgan of Hillcrest to advance to the consolation finals.
