By nature, season openers usually have two teams going through an early “feeling out” process before things get into full swing. When you have a pair of longtime rivals who squared off against each other already in a pre-season scrimmage, however, it is full steam ahead. Lugoff-Elgin came out swinging or, in this instance, pinning, in scoring the first 45 points to put Tuesday’s lidflifter with visiting Camden away only to see the Bulldogs outscore the hosts, 30-6, in the final six matches.
