Eight miscues are enough to send NC to 33-21 defeat

For countless reasons, strange things tend to happen during the first game of the season. For the North Central football team, Thursday’s 33-21 loss to host Green Sea-Floyds, in a contest moved up one night due to the weather threat posed by Hurricane Irene, might have well as been played on a Friday the 13th. As if it was not bad enough that the hosts saw a botched pitch bounce toward an official, whose leg hit the ball and kicked it into the arms of a Trojan defender, the Knights committed seven more errors which led to turnovers and helped turn this game around.
