NORTH CENTRAL’S A.C. GARBADE signed a National Letter of Intent to continue her academic and volleyball-playing pursuits at Converse College while flanked by her parents, April and Brian Garbade. Some athletes might hang their head, sulk and, possibly, give up when they don’t make the varsity team as a sophomore. Others, like North Central’s A.C. (Anna Catherine) Garbade, just roll up their sleeves and work harder to make sure they will not be denied when the opportunity next presents itself.
