Returning to his classroom after his own bout with the flu-like illness which was making its way through North Central High School, Knights’ head baseball coach Robbie Cash was greeted by several of his players who were suffering from similar symptoms on Friday. Included in that group was senior Tyler Bowers, the scheduled starting pitcher for that evening’s Region 4-AA opener against visiting Buford. As it turned out, NC had its entire roster on hand for Friday’s contest but at far less than 100 percent.
