When informed that his team’s opponent, Whitmire, carries a 25-game losing skid into tonight’s contest with his visiting Knights, North Central head football coach Louis Clyburn simply rolled his eyes and smirked.“Great. Thanks for telling me that,” he said.As if there was not enough pressure on North Central in trying to secure the second game two victory in the four-year Clyburn era, the prospect of his team being a footnote in history with a loss this evening is not something which the Knights’ boss wanted to hear.The Knights opened their season with a 49-14 week zero home loss to visiting Cardinal Newman which brought an end to the hosts’ modest two-game win streak to close out the 2011 campaign.
