Lady Knights break into win column by upending Great Falls, 19-11

After struggling through a rough early start to the season, the North Central High softball team took out their frustrations on the Great Falls Red Devils in a Friday night softball game played at Great Falls.The visiting Lady Knights pounded out 22 hits on their way to a 19-11 victory for their first win of the season under first-year softball head coach Mike Grigsby.The hitting barrage was led by Cassady Robinson, Miranda McCaskill, Hailey Thomas and Karlie Watkins, who each had four hits. With multiple-hit help from Jo Phillips, Erin Humphries and Rachel Robinson, the Knights scored a season high of 19 runs. NC was aided in the field by solid defensive plays being turned in by Tiffany Rogers and Keonna Blanding to help the Knights clinch the win.
