Playing for a cause, North Central celebrated its annual Dig Pink match to help combat breast cancer with a lopsided 25-12, 25-14, 25-17 win over visiting Chesterfield on Tuesday night at The Castle in Boonetown.
The victory gave Andy Johnson’s team a 13-0 overall record and an 8-0 ledger against Region 4-AA foes.
“We would like to say ‘thanks’ to all that came out and supported our Dig Pink event,” Johnson said. “The turnout was for a great cause.”
Sophomore setter Logan Coates sent up 35 assists in the match while coming up with five digs. Ambi Wood had a match-best 10 kills along with two digs and an ace while Erin Humphries had eight kills and 10 digs. Madeline Pate also had eight kills with six digs. Gracen Kerr and Khila Wood contributed four kills each for a Lady Knight squad which smacked down 38 on the night.
