North Central played the role of rude hostesses as the Lady Knights won the Survivor Division of the sixth annual “Beat Cancer with a Bat” softball tournament played Saturday at Larry Doby Park in Camden. The tourney, sponsored by Mid Carolina Credit Union, Chick fil-A, and the UPS Store, attracted 20 teams to Camden for an event organized by NC head coach Mike Grigsby and his softball program in Boonetown. The tournament serves as a fundraiser for the NC softball team while a portion of the proceeds from the day are donated to the Relay for Life team at North Central.
