Lady Knights lock down 4AA crown

The green and gold machine keeps on churning, this time to another region volleyball title.
Indian Land offered little resistance to the North Central volleyball team as the Lady Knights steamrolled the visiting Warriors in a three-set, 25-8, 25-14, 25-17, sweep on Tuesday inside The Castle in Boonetown.
The one-sided affair put Andy Johnson’s squad at 15-0 overall record and 10-0 in Region 4-AA action heading into Thursday’s contest at Cheraw.
Sophomore setter Logan Coates helped lead the way with a 25-assist, 13-dig night while adding a pair of kills. Along the net, senior middle hitter Ambi Wood smacked down 11 kills with three blocks. She added a dig and an assist.
Senior outside hitter Erin Humphries had 10 kills to go along with six digs and a service ace while senior outside hitter Madeline Pate had seven kills, 15 digs and an ace. Sophomore defensive specialist Kelsie Gardner came up with 13 digs while leading the hostesses with five service aces on the evening.
