Lady Knights need one more win to play for 4-AA crown

All that stands in the way of another region volleyball championship for North Central is a Monday night make-up match at Indian Land and a possible Thursday night championship-te-breaker with Buford.

Last Thursday, the Lady Knights won their 10th consecutive Region 4-AA pairing by breezing to a 25-10, 25-17, 25-4 win over Cheraw.

The victory gave Andy Johnson’s charges a 10-1 conference record and a 12-3 overall ledger. NC opened 4-AA play with a loss to one-loss Buford.

Should North Central have won Monday’s pairing with Indian Land, it will meet Buford in a best-of-five championship match on Tuesday at a neutral site with Central and Andrew Jackson high schools being eyed as possible host sites for the match.
