In this wild ride which is the Region 3-A girls’ basketball playoff chase, not even a 37-36 loss to Chesterfield was enough to leave North Central’s post-season hopes down and out.NC head coach Mitch Lowder has a saying that “In girls’ basketball, anything can happen.” And even with a 2-7 ledger in league play, should the Lady Knights had beaten Great Falls by five or more points on Thursday, they would be get a return trip to the state tournament which opens next Monday night by virtue of finishing fourth in the six-team circuit. The Lady Knights missed a golden opportunity to punch their ticket into the tourney on Senior Night at The Castle in Boonetown as the Lady Rams used an 11-4 fourth quarter surge to rally from a 32-26 deficit entering the game’s final eight minutes.
