In its most important match of the year, the North Central volleyball team was extended to four sets before upending visiting Region 4-AA rival Buford in Tuesday night’s “Dig Pink” match played at the Castle. The match itself served as the centerpiece of the program’s effort to help eradicate breast cancer with proceeds from the evening benefitting the Side-Out Foundation which helps with the promotion, awareness and elimination of the deadly disease. The Lady Knights took the first set, 25-15, before falling in the second, 25-23.
