If the North Central volleyball team were workers who were paid by the hour, the Lady Knights may have been forced to give back some wages to their employers on Wednesday. Needing a little more than 45 minutes to dispose of Newberry in a three-set sweep, Andy Johnson’s troops advanced to Monday’s second round of the AA Upper State playoffs where the Lady Knights will take on nemesis Landrum. North Central, a second seed from Region 4, will not go to the far reaches of the Upstate a worn and ragged bunch; not after sending the Lady Bulldogs from Newberry home with a 25-13, 25-13, 25-11 loss.
