Last year, Columbia handed North Central its lone loss in Region 3-AA volleyball play.Tuesday, the second-ranked Lady Knights got a bit of revenge as they took care of the host Lady Capitals in four games to improve to 4-0 in conference action and 8-1 on the season.North Central won the first set, 25-10, before Columbia evened things with a 25-21 victory in the second. The guests closed things by taking the fourth and fifth sets, winning 25-17 and 27-25.Logan Coates helped get the NC attack in gear as the freshman handed out 36 assists to go with nine digs, an ace and a kill.The Lady Knights had a three-pronged attack which controlled the net with junior Ambi Wood smacking down 15 kills to go with three digs and a block. Juniors Erin Humphries and Madeline Pate had 12 and 11 kills, respectively, with Humphries coming through with 14 digs and five aces while Pate had 16 digs.Junior Rachel Robinson led the winners with 22 digs with senior Jo Phillips contributing 18 digs while sending down an ace.
