Lady Vols hand NC first setback of season

After having opened the season with six consecutive wins in Region 4-AA play, the North Central volleyball team was taken down by neighboring rival Andrew Jackson in five sets on Tuesday night in Kershaw. The loss was the first in seven conference outings for Andy Johnson’s troops which are now 6-1 in conference play and 9-2 in dual matches. In the AJ (6-1) match, the visiting Lady Knights came out strong in winning the first set, 25-20, before making it 2-0 in the best-of-five match by taking the second, 26-24.
