NC tennis team downs Keenan for second region victory

For the first time in its brief history, the North Central High School tennis team is above the .500 mark.First-year head coach Jon Parker’s charges used a 6-1 win over Keenan last Thursday to improve to 2-1 on the season and, more importantly, 2-0 in Region 3-AA.The Knights number one singles player, junior Christian Pratt, narrowly lost in a hard-fought three-setter falling, 2-6, 6-4, and 8-10. Junior Justin Reynolds picked up the slack in second singles, winning 6-1, 6-1, while senior Coleman Roberts won his match, rather handily, by a 6-1, 6-0 count. Junior Justin Witmore blanked his opponent at fourth singles by identical 6-0 counts as did Julia Daniels at fifth singles, rolling to a pair 6-0 victories.
