NC's King, Gaither earn All-State honors

GRAYSON KING EARNED All-State honors for the second time in as many years.
North Central High School senior Grayson King and junior teammate Broderick Gaither were each named to class AA All-State baseball teams.King, the 2013 Region 3-AA baseball co-player of the year, was named all-state by the South Carolina Baseball Coaches Association. He also was an all-state selection, for the second time in as many years, as chosen by the High School Sports Report and by The Diamond Prospects. Gaither was tabbed as an all-state choice by the HSSR.King, a 6-foot, 200-pound pitcher/infielder/outfielder, closed his senior season with an 8-2 mound mark for Robbie Cash’s Knights, which finished runner-up in Region 3-AA. King threw 57 innings in 11 appearances, allowed 27 hits and 11 earned runs.
