It probably took longer for North Central to get to last Thursday’s volleyball pairing at Eau Claire than it did for the completion of the match itself.The visiting Lady Knights made quick work of the Shamrocks, steamrolling to a 25-13, 25-7 and 25-6 win.The victory gave Andy Johnson’s troops a 7-1 overall record while they improved to 3-0 in Region 3-AA action with the rout.Freshman Logan Coates continued to be a spark at setter as the freshman dished out 25 assists in the contest to go along with three digs, a trio of kills, a pair of aces and a block. Junior outside hitter Erin Humphries came through with 10 kills and four digs while serving up two aces.Along the net, junior middle hitter Ambi Wood had her way with a dozen kills and four digs. Classmate Madeline Pate contributed six kills, four aces and as many digs in the contest.NC returned to Columbia on Tuesday to meet Columbia High.
