Taking the early lead and not surrendering it, the North Central girls’ basketball team bounced back from a Tuesday loss to in-county rival Lugoff-Elgin with a 45-28 victory over Lewisville on Friday night in Richburg. The win was the first of the season for the Lady Knights which lost twice in a pre-season tip-off tournament before meeting L-E. The Lady Knights led, 15-8, after the first quarter and carried a healthy 26-10 advantage into the locker room at halftime before building a 36-18 lead after three stanzas of play. Freshman guard Kali Tomlin and junior forward Alexis Baker led Mitch Lowder’s troops with 12 points each.
