Top-five pairing set for Dig Pink match at NC

The North Central High School volleyball program will hold its annual “Dig Pink” match on Monday, Oct. 14 when rival and third-ranked Andrew Jackson invades The Castle in Boonetown to meet the fifth-ranked Lady Knights.The junior varsity match will kick things off at 5 p.m. followed by the varsity contest at 6:45 p.m.Fans are invited to come out as the two sides help in the crusade to eradicate breast cancer and raise awareness as to the disease. The evening is one in which the teams and fans share in a night of remembrance, survival and sharing.Those in attendance are asked to dress in pink with an award being presented to the “pinkest” fan. There will also be a “Serving for the Cure” competition in which T-shirt, pizza, gift certificates and other prizes will be awarded.
