Williams shatters record in NC track victory

Scoring a season-high 122 points, the North Central boys’ track team improved to 16-2 on the season by sweeping a five-team meet held in Boonetown last Thursday.Carl Olson’s Knights showed the way with 122 points followed by Chesterfield with 61. McBee and South Pointe Christian rounded out the scoring with 44 and seven points, respectively.The Knights were led by junior Clarence Williams, who scored victories in the 100- and 200-meter dashes. Williams set a new school standard in the 200-meter dash with a time 22 seconds, which gives him a time which tops the leader board for class 1A and third-fastest overall in the state.
