South Florence Blue scored four runs in the first inning and held on for a 5-2 victory over Kershaw County Post 17 in the opening game of the second round state American Legion playoff series between the two teams on Monday night in Florence.
The best-of-three series headed to Camden for Thursday’s second game with game three, if needed, to be played tonight in Florence.
The winner of the series will earn a berth in the state American Legion Junior Tournament.
