On a night on which their minds, justifiably, were not totally on baseball, visiting Dalzell-Shaw jumped on Kershaw County starter Scott Baldwin for four runs in the top of the first. The hosts would answer with five runs in their first at-bat, leading the way to a 12-6 victory on Thursday at American Legion Park. Dalzell-Shaw (4-7) was playing its first game since pitcher/outfielder Michael Waddell was seriously injured with neck and spinal injuries sustained in an automobile accident following Tuesday’s game with Hartsville.
