P-17 seniors lose; Juniors look to clinch

Kershaw County's two American Legion entries batted .500 on Tuesday night in first round state playoff action. The Post 17 senior squad committed six errors in a 7-5 loss to host West Columbia as Post 79 evened the best-of-five Lower State playoff series at one game apiece. Game three of the series is set for Wednesday at 7 p.m. at American Legion Park in Camden with game four to be played at Airport High School on Thursday at 7 p.m. Should a fifth game be necessary, it will be played at American Legion Park in Camden at 7 p.m. on Friday.
