On a warm night along the coast, Jay Lynch was not forced to work hard as Kershaw County went up, 2-0, on Georgetown with an 18-0 Thursday night win in a game played at Mike Johnson Park. Lynch (5-1) threw 70 pitches in working the first six innings of a game stopped after seven frames by the 10-run rule. The right-hander scattered four hits, fanned seven while not issuing a walk before giving way to Chase Galloway, who worked a perfect seventh to complete the shutout.
