Turning what was to have been a doubleheader of baseball into, basically, one single game, Kershaw County Post 17 cemented its second-place finish in League III by sweeping Wednesday’s pair of games with visiting Manning-Santee. Needing one win to secure second place in League III, KC took care of that with an 11-1 win in game one played at American Legion Park. And after the second spot behind Sumter was locked down, Post 17 made good on a sweep of the doubleheader against an undermanned Post 68 squad with a 12-2 victory in the nightcap.
