Lose a chance for a win or protect a young arm. The decision was simple for Kershaw County Post 17 American Legion head coach Curtis Johnson when he made the call to go get starting pitcher Grayson King with two gone in the top of the fifth inning with KC holding a sizeable, 10-3, lead over visiting Hartsville on Tuesday night at American Legion Park. By virtue of getting the third out of the inning, reliever Taylor Lunsford "vultured" the win as the 17ers stomped Post 53, 15-5, in a game stopped in the middle of the seventh inning by the 10-run rule.
