DANIEL QUATTLEBAUM AND L-E will face Andrew Jackson in Fridays Camden Shrine Club Football Jamboree before hosting soon-to-be conference rival Westwood in the Mid-Carolina Credit Union Kickoff Classic on Friday, Aug. 23.
For Camden and Lugoff-Elgin, there will be a tweak, here and there, when it comes to the South Carolina High School League’s proposed new conference alignment beginning in 2014.In the case of North Central, wholesale changes, albeit with former region foes, are in the offing.Camden will remain a member of Region 4-AAA and stays in the Upper State in a slightly revamped circuit. The Bulldogs will be joined by current 4-AAA mates A.C. Flora, Chapin, Dreher and Lower Richland in the six-team league. The lone newcomer is Richland Northeast, which is dropping down from the 4A ranks.
