For the second time in their last two games, the North Central girls’ basketball team failed to score a point in the first period. On Tuesday, visiting Andrew Jackson jumped to a 23-0 lead after the first eight minutes en route to a 57-29 win over the Lady Knights, who made two free throws and knocked down nine 3-point shots which accounted for their offense.“The last two games, we haven’t scored a point in the first quarter. After that, we seem to get our wits about ourselves and start playing better,” NC head coach Mitch Lowder said after his team fell to 0-3 on the season.NC, which lists four freshmen on its 10-player roster, trailed, 34-4, at halftime and 48-17 after three quarters.
