Camden Royals host car wash/fish fry; Post 175 to hold golf tourney

The Camden Royals boys’ AAU basketball team will hold a car wash and fish fry in front of the Title Max office at 1031 West DeKalb Street in Camden on Saturday, June 23. The fundraiser for the team, made up of players from Kershaw and Lee Counties, will run from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.For more information on the car wash and fish fry, please call Anita Duncan at (803) 464-4634 or Sam Stuckey at (803) 968-85487 or at Legion golf tourney: The Dalzell-Shaw Post 175 American Legion Baseball program will sponsor a golf tournament on Friday, June 22 at Beech Creek Golf Course in Sumter.The four-play, captain’s choice tournament will take to the course for a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Check-in time for teams is at 8 a.m. The entry fee is $45 per player and mulligans -- two for $5 -- can be purchased at the tournament. There will also be contests for par 3 accuracy, long drive and accurate drives.Food, beverages, awards and door prizes will be available inside the club house following the conclusion of the tournament.The entry deadline is Wednesday, June 20.For more information on the tournament, call (803) 840-3077.
