Caster stirs up memories of magical 1990 season

Long before the world ever heard of Darelle Revis, in 1990, Camden High had what is believed to have been the first shutdown cornerback in the history of football. Who can forget Bulldog head coach Billy Ammons putting the short kid with the blond hair out there alone to combat the opposition’s top receiver. Back then, when number 9 trotted onto the field it was called “Smoak Island.”' With the kind of thinking which would make him a lawyer later in life, Stephen Smoak copyrighted the name and continues to collect royalties from Revis and TV announcers to this day.
