CHS, L-E baseball staffs host Saturday clinics

The Camden and Lugoff-Elgin high school baseball staffs will conduct a coaches’ clinic for the Kershaw County Recreation Department at the Larry Doby Athletic Complex in Camden on Saturday, March 10.The clinics will follow that morning’s KCRD coaches’ certification meeting to be held at 10 a.m. in the Kershaw County Government Center’s Council Chamber.At noon at the softball fields at the Larry Doby Athletic Complex, KCRD coaches will be treated to a hot dog, soft drink and chips luncheon.The coaches’ clinics will begin at 12:30 p.m. with the CHS staff working with Camden-area coaches on one field while the Lugoff-Elgin staff will work with coaches from the West Wateree region on an adjoining field. There will also be a third field being used for a softball coaches’ clinic.In the event of inclement weather, the clinics will be moved inside the Camden High School gymnasium.For further information on the clinics, please call the KCRD at 425-6009.
