Using a balanced scoring attack and a 17-7 third quarter run, the Camden boys’ basketball team snapped a three-game skid with a 62-40 win over host Lakewood on Friday night in Sumter.The victory gave Ron McKie’s squad a 4-2 record heading into Thursday’s Golden Griffins Basketball Invitational at Fairfield Central High School. CHS faces Lancaster in opening round play of the three-day, eight-team event.In scoring a season sweep of the Gators, the Dogs jumped to a 13-9 lead after one quarter before extending their advantage to 30-21 at halftime.The Gators scored just two baskets in the third quarter as CHS pulled away to a more-than-comfortable 45-28 lead. The Bulldogs’ cushion grew to as many as 24 points, at 62-38, later in the fourth quarter.Josh Council led the Bulldogs with a game-best 15 points.
