Jeff Johnson missed just two games, but still needed to go to the tie-breaker before winning the first Chronicle-Independent football contest of the 2103 season.For his effort, the Kershaw resident was awarded the $50 first prize.Marion Price and Marty Best also missed two games, along with Johnson.The Chronicle-Independent football contest is included in each Monday edition of the newspaper throughout the college football regular season.
