Using a five-run top of the sixth, Kershaw County Northern rallied from a 3-2 deficit and pulled out a 7-4 win over Lamar in Wednesday night’s winners’ bracket game in the Sub-District A Dixie Youth baseball tournament at Camden’s Woodward Park.By virtue of the win in a game in which the Northern entry jumped to a 2-0 lead after the first half inning of play, KC Northern entered Thursday play as the lone unbeaten squad in the six-team tourney. They met with Bishopville on Thursday in a rematch of Monday’s first round pairing between the two sides won by KC Northern, 1-0, in an 11-inning, three-hour contest.Bishopville staved off elimination by knocking KC National out of the tournament with a 6-4 victory on Tuesday.Lamar fell into a Thursday elimination game with KC West, which had a Wednesday night bye after being shut out by KC Northern, 8-0, on Tuesday night. Lamar defeated KC East, 6-4, on Monday and had a Tuesday night bye.
