KC teams gear up for volleyball playoffs

All three Keshaw County high school girls’ volleyball teams will begin post-season play which begins tonight in Boonetown and continues on Tuesday at Camden and Lugoff-Elgin.North Central, which extended its string of conference volleyball titles to seven straight, kicks of AA Upper State tournament play tonight when the Lady Knights entertain Indian Land in a 6:30 p.m. best-of-five match inside The Castle in Boonetown.Should Andy Johnson’s troops come away with the home court win this evening, they will stay at home for Wednesday’s second round pairing against the winner of the Columbia at Buford match. Wednesday’s contest is, tentatively, slated for a 6 p.m. start.On Tuesday, Camden will host Woodruff. The best-of-five match will be played inside the Dog Pound at Camden High beginning at 6 p.m.On Friday, the Lady Bulldogs awaited the result of Chapin’s appearance before the South Carolina High School League in a matter involving the Eagles’ playing an inelgible player.
