KCPRD offers youth baseball umpires' certification clinics

The Kershaw County Parks and Recreation Department will hold a pair of umpire certification clinics for those individuals seeking to work Dixie Youth and/or Dixie Boys and Dixie Majors baseball games this spring and summer. The class, which will last at least four hours which includes instruction and a test, for Dixie Youth umpires will be held on Sunday, Feb. 22 at 2 p.m. in the upstairs classroom in the Old National Guard Armory at 1034 West DeKalb St. in Camden. The cost is $20 for certification and $5 for the umpires’ patch.
