Mini-Olympics on tap for Saturday

The City of Camden, the Kershaw County School District, the Kershaw County Recreation Department and Let’s Move Cities and Towns are teaming up to present the second annual Mini-Olympics of Kershaw County.The event will take place on Saturday, Oct. 20 beginning at 10 a.m. at the Larry Doby Athletic Complex in Camden.The event is open to boys and girls ages five through 13 and is free to all participants and spectators. Prizes will also be awarded at the conclusion of the day.Boys and girls will be invited to participate in the long jump, the 50-yard dash, relay races, potato sack races and the obstacle course.Please call the KCRD at 425-6009 for more information on the Mini-Olympics and/or other KCRD-sponsored events.
