Nine KC wrestlers headed to state tourney
LUGOFF-ELGIN SOPHOMORE Devin Wilson will compete in the 120-pound division at the South Carolina High School Leagues state individual championships which begin today in Anderson.
As he prepares to lead his Lugoff-Elgin wrestlers into the state individual tournament for the first time, first-year Demons head coach Ted Monroe is hoping to return to the West Wateree with a few 4A state champions along with a top five finish in the unofficial team standings. The South Carolina High School League state individual wrestling championships will be held today at Saturday at the Anderson Civic center. Monroe will take five wrestlers, including three newly crowned Lower State champions, to the Upstate along with high hopes.
